New York, Two Months
Steve Garfield wrote to me and said he missed my slick edited videos from when I was single and working at WGBH (i.e. I had a lot of time on my hands). This is for Steve trying to keep me on my editing toes. Thanks.

That was Fantastic! You have so many great moments in there it is impossible to count! I am glad I got to see more of your cat, we need a cat update. I loved jay's pink robe. for some reason this video made it seem like your apartment is some sort of video-blogging commune or something...very cool!
i assure you i imply only my curiousity. what is the track? it is dope
oh, really nice vid!
beats the hell out of soiled panties. although they would have made an interesting addition.
the blood of a woman
always an interesting addition eh?
i think so...
New York: If you can make it there...
Good luck on the next two months in the Big Apple (my hometown!).
yes, a thank you to Garfield is in order
getting ryanne's ass in gear to sit down
and do some serious editing...so preoccupied
with helping everyone and their sisters,
while compiling the vbw2005 blog, and godknowswhatelse...slacker! Jay's fault.
Wow, that is all I can say. Its so human. Kind of how I felt when I first moved to Sydney.
Looks like everyone enjoyed this post as much as I did. I was really happy to see that you kept the stray cat. What did you name him/her?
Whoa!
Nice!
Hey Ryan,
I loved that sooo much.
Really great.
I'm going to have to watch it a few more times...
Thanks for doing that.
I hope you can do more like that and I think that better productions from all of us, as a whole, will make a better impression on first time vlog viewers...
Even just higher production values and some editing...
I'm starting to prefer watching those kinds of videos, I think...

I just creamed my pants - it's like this video is the sum of every experience a person can have in every corner of the earth. If I could give an isolated blind woman/man just one video to see of the world around him/her, this is it.

Wow! Really nice...
why did anyone think you lost it?
(maybe its because i always get to see you in action...lucky me)
Beautiful. Thanks for the little visit. Remindes me how much video from NY I have to edit.
was that johnny knoxville near the end there?
Fresh cuts. I bet it's really valuable to do a video review of a time period. Must be really grounding, like "Oh yeah, that's what I've been doing for the last 2 months."
cool ryanne. nice visit back home. loved it. :)
i really loved the part with the people kissing hello outside the train station.
wicked video.
That was great, Ryanne, very cool!
Interestingly enough I JUST posted a lil video of scenes from Chicago and then I saw yours of New York! (Yours is better :-P)
Nice vid, thanks.

i wanna go to NYC!!!
nice video!
This was cool. I enjoyed watching this. Their was this great mystery about it,but through the whole thing I kept thinking about wrapping the camera up so it doesn't break and letting free fall from that window. Good job. Noloco.

I'm with Steve. The editing was tight. I really enjoyed this broadcast. If this is what your earlier vlogs were like I'm going to have to go dig them up. Nicely done. Having done a fair share of editing I know how much work you've done here, but I would love to see more. :)
Umm, any more room in the kick ass van?
Never saw your videos before Ryanne, so that was a very VERY nice intro. Loved the music (mind mentioning it please), went very well with the scenes, choice of fast mode and of course the excellent editing.
For a self proclaimed geek, you really have alot of cool stuff upstairs. Please keep them coming.

thanks everyone for all the praise.
i needed it.
hard week.
i love editing
but i also equally love conversations and simple cuts telling a story just as much. i think these are equally important. slick is fun sometimes. telling a story about a moment you had in 30 seconds can be equally as thrilling,,,im my HUMBLE yet not always humble opinion.
music track is noted above in the entry...it's aesop rock.
I love this post. Really, really good. I'm addicted...the music and editing are great. Really cool.
hey, thanks for showing me a slice of new york. it was awesome.
glad to see the kitty in it too. how is he doing?
MAD SKILLZ IN EFFECT!
geez, it's like fuckin' koyaanisqatssi.
however you spell that.
jay sure looks sweet in a track suit + mohawk.
even a pink robe.
oh how i miss the cherry blossoms in spring.
Aloha Ryansky, It will be hard to forget the image of that group of paraders in chicken feather headdresses walking slowly down the street for no apparent reason. One thing I like about this more edited video is kind of like what I like about black and white TV versus color: you get to imagine so much more as you're watching, it's not all right there explaining itself. Great great work my little friend. And, your cat is extremely cute. xxooLB
dude that was awesome! i finally got the s*it to do all that now so mabe i shold get into video blogging!
Agreed! This format is very entertaining. Here is just a simple baseball game made captivating by music...

Looks like most of their vids are in this format - let's all step up the editing skillz!
