Virtual Power Ranger Remix
Shannon's Virtual Power Ranger is one of my favorite videos ever. So I thought I would, in the spirit of the Exquisite Corps Vlogs, remix it. I hope you will too.
The Jay and Ryanne Show: Episode 1
Check Out ANT
ANT is the first video aggregator created by Jay, Josh and Daniel!
-correction, daniel is in the netherlands (stupid americans and their bad geography)-

VloggerCon Picts on Flickr
Post your vloggercon photos to flickr with the tag vloggercon.
if you dont know what flickr is: it's awesome
The LOVE
it's sunday 10am.
vloggercon is over and it was perfect.
we couldnt have asked for a better day.
a lot of us were in town early and are staying late
to be with each other in person.
make connections.
jakob held an after party at his loft (there is like 25 hours of footage, which i'll be linking to, i'm sure)
and when i was saying good bye to people
i found myself saying "see you on the web"
which is sad and also not sad at the same time.
we will create and be with each other in the second world.
i am getting tears in my eyes as i write this.
why so sappy all of a sudden?
i feel elated that i know all these passionate people
who traveled in a snow storm across the country
and, some, across the world to be here.
i'll link to the videos that people are posting
as well as my own, when i get it up here.
but i just wanted to roll out of bed this morning
and say that i miss you all already.
like i said in an earlier video
there are people and places that when you have to say goodbye
you just break down and cry because they have such an effect on you.
this is that moment.
my cheeks are wet with tears of joy.
video video video.
yes
i heart videobloggers.

They Shut Me Down
my server noticed that i use 2 gigs a day of bandwidth.
so they shut me down.
i guess this is a good reason to ask for donations for real this time. i need to buy a crapload more server space and bandwidth....
there's always archive.org but that's gonna take a while.
sigh.
no videos for a little while guys.
what the hell am i going to do with myself?
wollowing in self pity,
ryanne
p.s thanks to everyone for their offers of server space and donations too.
i'm uploading to the archive, which i 've been slowly doing over the past month, i guess it was too slow.
i really didnt think doteasy.com (my server) would just stop hosting my media so fast.
scary.

Geek Porn
Verdi and I did a collaboration. Check it out.
My voice over is disturbing to me.
this is what verdi says about the vid:
"This is my first long distance collaboration with someone in the videoblogging group. Ryanne Hodson did fantastic job with the voice over. How it all worked was, I had an idea and shot the video on Thursday. I IM'd Ryanne that afternoon and asked her to do the voice over. Then I sent her a quicktime movie via iChat on Friday. She emailed an mp3 back to me on Saturday and I edited it into the video today. Pretty cool huh?"

Stealing Comments
i've received a lot of comments on my last post
Steal Now, Pay Never
and i wanted to post and respond to this one in particular:

So, not one person commenteed on the fact that stealing is not a GOOD thing to do. I guess no one gives a shit whether people steal or not. Hey, this is ART, so stealing is okay, maybe even cool. I wonder if Ryanne would think that it is cool if I were to come over to her apartment and steal her computer and her video camera. And in the process of stealing this stuff I could document it and then put that on a blog. Talk about life imitating art. How cool would that be?

stealing is not cool. i tried this as a punk ass stunt to see if i could get away with it. and i did. after that, shop lifting became my bad habit and i continued to do so with the premise being "this is too easy and no one is noticing". bad bad bad. so eventually i made myself stop. i have never stolen from an individual, only big stores. this, however, does not justify any of my actions and i understand this. i guess i was just getting the rebel out of my system, one which bloomed late in my life unlike some people who go through a rebelous stage in middle or high school. i have no apologies or regrets for what i did. but i wanted you to know that i'm not trying to tell people that this is ok or cool. everyone does things that are seen as bad by other people wether it's stealing stuff or breaking someones heart, everyone has their opinion on wether it's ok or not. i respect your opinion.
thanks for the comment, i mean this sincerely,

Uncle Monsterface
Tsunami Video Hosting
Media Blogger Association
has a comprehensive list of the tsunami videos that are out there.
i was having trouble finding links that worked.
hopefully these will remain valid and working.
the next step?
videos of the recovery, conversations with the people grieving and trying to continue living life.
CNN is not going to cover that, so we have to.
