Super Happy Dev House IX

Jay and I went to Super Happy Dev House 9 last Saturday. It's a big 'ol hack-a-thon were geeks get together and party/program. Truly an inspiration to all those who feel they can not relax on the weekends until they start working on their own projects (I'm talking to you videobloggers!). We had a great time and met some cool folks despite the fact that we are not programmers. Enjoy!

the great thing about hanging out with geeks like these folks
is that they are super passionate and optimistic about things
90% of what they say, i have no idea what it means
but they care about it
and that's was counts to me!

When I was younger being a geek was not cool so I tossed aside my geekdom. After whatching this vid I think I want to be a geek again. Maybe I first need to try and find out what Ruby on Rails is and why Twisted Python is better. I wonder if they are wrestlers something tells me no.

Yeah, so I was watching the video and feeling right at home with all that talk about log-a-rithms (that's how they spell it in the dictionary) and pythons and sh*t.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

I'm much more of an academic geek than a tech geek, but this looked so f-ing cool to me. I just want to do it all! Or collaborate!

I'm really glad I watched this because I was initially unsure whether or not I'd like it or relate. It always pays to watch anyway because this was awesome :)
