Bloggercon

Bloggercon
Hey, I got asked to lead a discussion at this years Bloggercon about Vloggercon/Videoblogging! Bloggercon has a really cool format, that is not your average tech conference format. I like it and am excited to participate.

You have to hit up Apple to get you do a vlog thing on 5th Ave (in NYC) sometime. About Bloggercon, this isn't a bad place to bring up what works and what doesn't in the video blogs.

Is your video all messed up? First it took _forever_ to download, and now it hangs (image and no sound) a third of the way in... the play-head moves, but the image is a still frame.... is it just me? Or is it the original file? Can you fix it??

Since I discovered your blog on the "Blogs of Note" on blogger, I've been trying to figure out what the hype about your site is about. Sure, you have a great camera presence, and your Carp Caviar episode is pretty creative, but nothing that will change the way I see video... But when I checked your archives, I understood. Wow. Make more of those, please!

ryan, i think it's great that videoblogging has a presence at bloggercon. i think with the emphasis you put on video IN blog, as opposed to just video on the web, the relationshipt between vloggercon and bloggercon is both useful and necessary.

For whatever reason, I cannot hear the sound on this particular post. Every other video posted thus far (including the newest one) work fine, sound and all; this one is giving me a headache. I downloaded it to my documents folder, tweaked my Quicktime settings a bit just to be sure, and guess what? Still no sound...

I could hear and see the video, so it must be fixed.

Good news for you and for Bloggercon! They're lucky to have you :)

And feel free to "slack" if you're gonna write books and put together giant conferences. I love it all!
