Hope the Internet access is better in Thailand. beautiful moment sharing ... missed you at BlogHer
If you guys are still in vietnam. Make sure to book a three or 4 day motorcycle tour with the Easy Riders based in Dalat.(although you could likely meet them in the Hue area and have them take you down to Dalat) It was without a doubt THE best travel experience that I have had (I have traveled a lot).
My wife and I rode with them for 4 days and I saw more of the culture of vietnam through them than I ever thought possible. They took us to all the sort of places that I wanted to visit but never knew I could such as small family run establishments like a Silk farm, tea orchard, pineapple patch, brick factory, incense factory, coal factory, rice paper factory among many others. Most of these are the places you pass by on a bus and wonder what is going on there. They also find the best local restaurants that you could never find in the Lonely planet guide, I had some of my best travel meals with these guys. We were both a little worried about having them drive us around Vietnam on their motorcycles but once we started we were so happy we went with them. I hate to even use the word 'tour' as it provides the wrong image. We really felt that they were 'showing' us their country instead of taking us on a tour. They actually cared about giving you a good experience. Sent some friends to do it this last february also and they said the exact same thing to me.
email.
Our guides were
